I like to consider myself a resonable man. One who follows paths of logic, and I hope I speak for everyone when I say that when you are conected to the internet, you are connected to the internet. So when I'm connected to Xbox Live on my Xbox 360, I expect to be able to connect to all sorts of other services, such as EA Online. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
Last night, I downloaded the demo for Battlefield 1943, which I'm sure is a good game - understand that this review is not speaking to the quality of the game itself, rather to the fact that I attempted to connect to EA online hundereds of times in the course of something like 6 hours. It did not work. I was never able to play the game. While looking at the goddamned Xbox Guide and seeing that I was, in fact "Connected to Xbox Live", I could not connect to whatever deformed "internet" that EA is using to allow people to play Battlefield 1943 (i use play in the loosest sense of the word).
I'll keep trying and update this as I go along, but so far, I can't really give you a thumbs up or down because I can't play the damned game.
