Do You Know What's Going On?
Everyday in Uganda, innocent children are being abducted and taken into the forest.
There, they learn how to kill; they are tortured, beaten, and raped.
This is all going on secretly as a plan to overthrow the government.
Many children go into hiding with nothing but one pair of clothes.
They leave home in hopes to find a better life, but all they find is death and misery around them.
Children are starved, and those who are taken by the rebels suffer severe injuries such as knife wounds and gun shots. Many young girls are giving early birth because they are being raped by the rebels. This is all going on, and the Uganda government is not doing anything to stop it. Children are being abused, so it is up to children (and adults) to do something to make Uganda, and the children of Uganda, a better safer place to live.
Together, we can stop the war in Uganda.

We talked about making shirts, and voted on our design. We are also going to elect a new club VP.

Happy New Year! Hopefully this year we can raise some serious funds. Its been a long time since the last
meeting because Stephine was sick and we had Winter Break.
Hopefully we can get right back down to work and raise some funds!

since tomorrow is Common Planning and we need all the time we can get!

+ Fri, Nov 9 Fundraising Update:
We have set our club goal at 3,000$! Right now we have 25$! Come on guys! Bring in money to the next meeting to donate.
+ Wed, Nov 7 WHS Meeting #3 Recap:
We made new committees, so everyone can get involved! We also had a discussion about schools for schools,
and we made a plan on raising funds this year and saving them until next year.
We set some club goals, and had some discussion about the water bottles (woops, cant fit a quarter!)
Thanks to Mr. Erikson for his room, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next week!

I hope everyone had a great time at Homecoming!
The next meeting will be this Wednesday, 11/7!
Please bring water bottles to the meeting (to decorate).
We will be setting a club goal, decorating our water bottles, and taking another (offical) vote on Schools4Schools.

Fixed more color issues. Site looks a bit better in IE now, still best in firefox. *Anyone out there that has iMovie or

talked about getting another new room, held vote on weekly meetings or bi-weekly meetings [win: every week], voted on selling bracelets [win: tba], talked about joining schools for schools.

Todays meeting was the first meeting of the year. Club leaders were introduced and the movie was watched for a brief period of time.
Head count was taken. All members were asked for email contact info. Meetings will take place every other week. Some fund raising ideas discussed. Stay tuned for updates.
